3.3. Cookies
3.3.1. Scope of data processing

Our website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer when you visit our website. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain any malware such as viruses. Cookies contain a characteristic string of characters that enables the browser to be uniquely identified when the website is visited again. Some elements of our website require that the calling browser can be identified even after a page change.

This is not done by assigning it to you personally, but by assigning an identification number to the cookie (“cookie ID”). The cookie ID is not merged with your name, IP address, or similar data that would enable the cookie to be assigned to you.

This website uses transient and persistent cookies.

  1. Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. These include, in particular, so-called session cookies. These store a so-called session ID, which can be used to assign various requests from your browser to the shared session. When you return to our website, your computer can be recognized. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close your browser.
  2. Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period of time, which may vary depending on the cookie. You can delete cookies at any time in your browser's security settings.
3.3.2. Purpose of data processing

We use cookies to make our website attractive and user-friendly, to improve it, and to speed up requests. Some elements of our website require that the calling browser can be identified and recognized even after a page change.

3.3.3. Legal basis for data processing

The legal basis for the processing of personal data using technically necessary cookies is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR.

3.3.4. Duration of storage

Transient/session cookies are deleted as soon as the browser is closed.

Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period of time.

3.3.5. Possibility to object and delete

As a user, you have full control over the use of cookies. By changing the settings in your Internet browser, you can set it so that cookies are not stored at all or are automatically deleted at the end of your Internet session. To do this, select “Do not accept cookies” in your browser settings. In Microsoft Internet Explorer, select “Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > Settings”; In Firefox, select “Tools > Settings > Privacy > Cookies.” If you use a different Internet browser, please refer to the browser's help function for instructions on how to prevent and delete cookies. Please note, however, that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of our website.

3.4. Web analytics
3.4.1. Scope of data processing

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States, on our website („Google“).

Google analyzes your use of our website on our behalf. We use cookies for this purpose, among other things. We have described what cookies are and how they can be deleted in the “Cookies” section above.

The information collected by Google about your use of this website (e.g., the pages you visit on our site) is transmitted to a Google server in the US, where it is stored and analyzed, and the results are made available to us in anonymized form.

We use IP anonymization provided by Google on our website. This means that your IP address is truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.

Google is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield, which ensures an adequate level of data protection for data stored by Google in the US.

3.4.2. Purpose of data processing

On our behalf, Google uses this information to evaluate the use of our website and to compile reports on the activities within our website. This enables us to improve your online experience and increase the user-friendliness of our website.

3.4.3. Legal basis for processing

Our legitimate interest in data processing by Google Analytics lies in the above-mentioned purposes. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.

3.4.4. Duration of storage

Sessions are terminated after a certain period of time. By default, sessions are terminated after 30 minutes of inactivity. The time limit for cookies can be a maximum of two years.

3.4.5. Option to object and remove data

The IP address transmitted by your browser is not merged with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings as described above in the “Cookies” section. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of our website, as well as Google from processing this data, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available from Google:  https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de .

If you wish to prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data in the future when you visit our website using various devices (in particular mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets), you must opt out on all systems used. Clicking here will set this opt-out cookie:

Disable Google Analytics

Please note that this opt-out cookie only prevents web analysis as long as you have not deleted it. For more information about Google Analytics, please refer to the Google Analytics Terms of Service, the Google Analytics Security and Privacy Principles, and the Google Privacy Policy.

4. Datensicherheit

5. Transfer of data to third parties

Data will only be passed on to third parties within the framework of legal requirements. We only pass on user data to third parties if this is necessary for contractual purposes, e.g. on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. b) GDPR, we are legally obliged to do so (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR) or on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR in the economic and effective operation of our business.

Within the scope of order processing in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR, we use subcontractors to provide our services, in particular for the operation, maintenance, and hosting of the website, the e-shop, and our information technology systems. We have taken appropriate legal precautions and implemented corresponding technical and organizational measures to ensure the protection of personal data in accordance with the relevant legal provisions.

6. External services and content on our website

We integrate external services or content into our website. This is done on the basis of our legitimate interests in the analysis, optimization, and economic operation of our online offering within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR.

When using such a service or displaying third-party content, communication data such as date, time, and IP address are exchanged between you and the respective provider for technical reasons. This includes, in particular, your IP address, which is required to display content in your browser.

6.1 Social Media Plugins

We currently use the social media plugins YouTube and Google Maps. When you visit our website, no personal data is passed on to the plugin provider. The provider of the social media plugin can be identified by the respective logo. We offer you the option of communicating directly with the plugin provider via the button. By default, the plugin collects data from you and transmits it to the servers of the respective provider. When you visit a page on which the social media plugin is integrated, these are initially deactivated. Only when you click on the respective symbol/logo of the provider is the corresponding plugin activated, and you thereby give your consent for your data to be transferred to the respective provider and stored accordingly (in the case of US providers, in the USA). If you are a member of the listed social networks and are logged in to the social network during your visit to our website, your data and information about your visit to this website can be linked to your profile on the social network after clicking on the respective logo of the social media provider.

Since the plugin provider collects data primarily via cookies, we recommend that you log out of the respective social network before activating the social media button and delete all cookies via your browser's security settings if you do not wish to transfer information to the social media provider. We have no influence on the data collected and data processing operations, nor are we aware of the full extent of data collection, the purposes of processing, or the storage periods of the social media plugin providers. We also have no information about the deletion of the data collected by the plugin provider.

For more information about the scope, nature, and purpose of data processing, as well as your rights and settings options for protecting your privacy, please refer to the social media provider's privacy policy. These can be found at the following address:

  • Maps from the Google Maps service provided by third-party provider Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield. https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

When we process your personal data, you are a data subject within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and you have the following rights with regard to the personal data concerning you:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)

However, this only applies to statements regarding data processing. If user consent is required or if parts of the privacy policy contain provisions governing the contractual relationship with users, changes will only be made with the consent of the users.

Please check the content of the privacy policy regularly.
