Our history as the basis of success
ALTATEC GmbH is a machining company with tradition . Our beginnings date back to the 80s with the company Eberle Medizintechnik, which was renamed Altatec in 1995. As early as 1988, the first components of a dental implant system were manufactured there.

Altatec expands production capacity
ALTATEC GmbH officially inaugurated its extension building at the Wimsheim site in September 2024. With the new building, a decisive step was taken to expand production capacities and strengthen performance .

“Good Distribution Practice” (GDP) stands for compliance with the requirements of good distribution practice. With the GDP-Compliance certification, ALTATEC GmbH meets the requirements of the Community Code for medicinal products for human use according to Article 84 of Directive 2001/83/EC.

Groundbreaking for the Altatec extension building
The symbolic groundbreaking for the expansion of the Altatec production and logistics building in Wimsheim took place at the end of March 2022.

Expansion of the Camlog product portfolio and start of production of the PROGRESSIVE-LINE implant line, which is based on the clinically proven and user-friendly internal connections of the CAMLOG® and CONELOG® implants.

EMAS stands for Eco-Management and Audit Scheme and is considered the premium standard among European environmental management systems. Altatec commits to continuous improvement of its environmental performance and reports this in an environmental statement to the public.

Henry Schein acquires 100% of CAMLOG/ALTATEC.

Camlog’s product rang is expanded to include the CONELOG® implant system, which features a conical implant-abutment connection.

Altatec Expansion Building
First site expansion and increase of usable space to 15,000 square meters in Wimsheim.

ALTATEC GmbH in Wimsheim
Until 2004, the company was known as ALTATEC Medizinische Elemente GmbH & Co. in Wurmberg. The move to Wimsheim and the takeover by CAMLOG Biotechnologies AG led to a new dimension. The machinery was modernized, and all areas were further developed.
1999
Introduction of CAMLOG® Implants
A first complete system with the Tube-in-Tube™ connection has been manufactured by ALTATEC GmbH since 1999 and marketed under the name CAMLOG®.

Founding of ALTATEC Medizintechnik GmbH
Founding of ALTATEC Medizintechnik GmbH & Co. KG. The name ALTATEC is an artificial word composed of the Latin words “altus” (high) and “tec” (technology).
